Why Volunteer? When you think of volunteering at an animal rescue, you might imagine spending your time walking dogs and playing with kittens. However, it is much more involved. Our volunteers give their love and care to animals that have been abandoned or abused and are in need of new, loving homes. Volunteering helps animals, but it also has many benefits for you too! Join us today. As a rescue volunteer, you can develop practical skills, take on fresh challenges and discover new fields of interest. It is a great way to meet people, make friends and have fun. In addition, studies show that working with animals can improve your mood and lower stress levels. Volunteering can be a long-term commitment. It may not always be easy or convenient but volunteering with animals is one of the most rewarding experiences to be had. All it requires is a little dedication and a lot of love. Hart 2 Heart Volunteers keep everything running and ensure that every rescue animal has the best chance at a better life. You give love and attention to our animals when they need it most. You have the power to change their lives! In addition to hands-on positions volunteering at our partner pet stores, we are always in need of back-office volunteers to help with paperwork, scheduling, fundraising, interviewing applicants, social media, and data entry. Please take a look at our currently available job opportunities. We support young people and their commitment to the well-being of animals. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Junior volunteers, between 14 and 17, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when interacting with animals. There are many ways teens can make a difference and help with our mission --
If you can't afford to spend time volunteering with our Rescue, you can still help by donating money and animal-care items. We are always in need of food, toys, bedding, and grooming items for the animals that come into our care. Check out our Amazon , Walmart and Chewy wishlists.
