Early in 2022 we lost both of our beloved rescue cats. One of our cats was old and had been sick for a while, but our younger cat succumbed to heart failure very suddenly. We were simply devastated when they died within a month of each other.

 I thought I’d be the first one to start looking for new fur babies, but it was actually my husband who couldn’t bear working from home without feline companions. Upon hearing this, I started looking at available cats at local rescues and on Petfinder.com. We really wanted to open our home to a bonded pair and we soon found Camille and Emily.  I wasn’t familiar with Hart2Heart since we live just south of King of Prussia, but we began the adoption process and started to get excited about bringing home “the girls.” 

On the day after my husband’s birthday, we made the 45 minute drive to the home where “Cami and Emmy” were being fostered. Neither of the girls were thrilled about getting into their carriers or the drive home, but we made it and sequestered them in the master bedroom. That first night they made their way out from under the bed, vocalizing and rolling. We were in love!

Cami and Emmy now run the house; running, playing with catnip mice and vocalizing for treats. We appreciate their unique personalities and different ways of showing affection. They are the perfect fit for us and we couldn’t be happier.
